About Melodie
My Story

Melodie was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and doesn't remember a time she didn't write. Her childhood passion for writing led her to begin her career as an education reporter, which guided her interest in working with children. Melodie eventually earned her master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education and began working as an early intervention therapist. While working with children, she renewed her interest in children's books and her passion for writnessing the endless imagination of a child. Melodie is married, and she and her husband has two young children who have helped her further realize the importance of early literacy. She particularly enjoys the excitement and the beauty of bonding with them by reading together at home.
